This site is dedicated to public education and the survival of the Sewhandy Sewing Machines. There are two different sewing machines that we call the Sewhandy. The original Sewhandy, below on the right, is the predecessor to the SINGER Featherweight Model 221. This Sewhandy was manufactured by a series of companies - STANDARD Sewing Machine Company of Cleveland, FREDERICK OSANN Company, GENERAL ELECTRIC, and OSANN Corporation (SINGER) from 1928 thru 1938. The second machine is the SINGER Sewhandy Toy Sewing Machine. This machine has also been around for generations since the 1910 series model 20. It was known by various model names over the years, and was not called the Sewhandy until SINGER began using the trademark name in the early 1950's. sewhandy, sew handy, sewhandy, sew handy,STANDARD Sewing Machine Company of Cleveland,FREDERICK OSANN Company,Ge Model-A,General Electric Model-A,OSANN Corporation (SINGER),sewing machine collecting, vintage sewing machine, toy sewing machine,Darrel P.
